Back in 1995,
I spotted a beautiful liver bitch in the ring at a dog show held in
She was just a puppy but I couldn't take my eyes off of her. I met the
breeder, Sandy Logan and we have since become dear friends. The puppy was
Frankie. I told Sandy I wanted a puppy from her some day. A few years
later I was ready for my foundation bitch. I contacted Sandy and found out
that Frankie had been sent to Neil Mesa in Miami. I immediately called
Neil and asked him if I could get a puppy out of Frankieís next litter. He
said yes, and on May 19, 1998 my Lexie was born. She was the only bitch in
the litter and I almost lost my chance of getting her because Neil was
having second thoughts on keeping her for himself. Sandy talked him out of
if, thank you
Neil kept a male and I got to have Lexie. I have to say that Lexie was
well worth the wait! I couldn't ask for a better temperament! She is also
one of the prettiest moving Springerís that I have ever seen, thanks to
her mom! To date Lexie has had three litterís of her own and each of her
puppies have gotten some of her greatest attributes.
